Absolutely music to my ears!!

I used to live in Venice Florida, off of Tamiami trail. My apartment was off of south Tamiami trail. Every year the Collings Foundation would bring into Venice Island airport old 909 B-17G, THEIR B-24, and THEIR B-25. I could sit on my back porch and just by the sound of the engines I knew what plane was taking off and landing. On certain days they would go up circle around and approach the air field. I had a front row seat to watch these wonderful WW11 BIRDS IN ACTION. I MISS THOSE DAYS VERY MUCH. MAY GOD WATCH OVER THE CREW AND PASSENGERS OF 909. AMEN🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍

Ray Hanna was born in New Zealand in 1928, where in 1949, at the age of 21 years old. He made the decision to emigrate to the United Kingdom and join the RAF. In working his passage on a merchant ship, as to cover the costs of his travel to England. Where on arrival, he applied to join the Royal Air Force, as to the belief. The opportunities in flying, were better suited at the time. Than joining the Royal New Zealand Air force. (this was 1949, afterall)

this plane has a great place in the mexican history and military, because it was the planes used by the Escuadron 201 during the WW2 participating on the liberation of Philipines during the battle of Luzon, killing 30 K japanese

I wonder how well would airplanes such as Spitfire do with toroidal propellers which are even more efficient than contra-rotating propellors. Science is starting to get really impressive and scary if such a basic upgrade can yield such mindblowing results.

Question, on board, those planes are noisy as he'll, yet music to the spectators on the ground. Do the pilot's appreciate the difference between flying these machines and observing them?

I get why we have jets and stuff now, but in my opinion, this was the peak era of aircraft design. The Nighthawks, Blackbirds, Spirits, Raiders, Raptors, and Lancers are my exceptions.
